How much does Oklahoma give homeschool families?
Up to $1,000 per student each tax year, as a refundable credit claimed on your Oklahoma return for the year you paid the expenses.
Which homeschool costs qualify?
Nonpublic online program tuition and fees, academic tutoring by an individual or tutoring center, textbooks and curriculum including required supplemental materials, and fees for standardized tests and test-prep courses.
Is the homeschool credit growing?
Claims rose from 2,716 returns for tax year 2024 to 4,001 returns for tax year 2025 in the Tax Commission's reports. The House has described the homeschool cap as $5 million a year.
What about part-week hybrid schools?
A hybrid that is an accredited private school with enrolled students falls under the private school credit instead. Ask any hybrid program in Edmond, Norman or Yukon which category its families use and whether it is on the participating list.
