About

About OKC Edu Funding and where our data comes from

An independent guide to Oklahoma's school-choice money for families in Oklahoma, Cleveland and Canadian counties, built on federal and state records.

Oklahoma now funds private school for families at every income level, but the pieces live in different agencies: the tax credit at the Tax Commission, the special-needs scholarship at the State Department of Education, child care at Human Services and scholarships at private nonprofits. OKC Edu Funding puts the metro's version of all of it in one place, school by school.

A tuition counselor reviews each funding check and follows up with a plan. Some schools and organizations partner with us; those relationships are labeled wherever they appear and do not change which sources we recommend.

Where does the school data come from?

The directory merges three bulk records, retrieved October 28, 2026: the NCES Private School Survey for 2023-24 (2021-22 for non-responders), 64 schools after removing duplicate rows; the Oklahoma Tax Commission's Parental Choice Tax Credit participating-school file dated September 3, 2026, which lists 109 schools in the three counties; and OSDE's Lindsey Nicole Henry approved list dated September 24, 2026, with 57 metro schools. Schools on a state list but missing from the federal survey were added with the fields the state publishes. Records were matched by name, street number and city, and fuzzy matches were checked by hand.

Where do the program facts come from?

Credit tiers, priority rules and dates come from the Tax Commission's PCTC rules (OAC 710:50), its taxpayer pages and its PCTC reports dated April 1 and September 3, 2026. LNH rules come from OSDE's program page, flyer and funding guidance. Pre-K, child care, SGO and federal-credit details come from OSDE, OKDHS, the Tax Commission and the Oklahoma House. Each funding page shows when it was last verified.
