How much will an Oklahoma City family still owe after the tax credit?

It depends on the gap between your tier and the school's charges: at schools priced below your tier nothing is left, and at college-prep schools most of the tuition remains.

The examples above use assumed tuition levels to show the math. They are not quotes for any school.

What usually fills the gap?

School need-based aid, a tax-credit scholarship from an organization such as the Catholic Schools Opportunity Fund or the Opportunity Scholarship Fund, LNH for eligible students, and from 2027 scholarships funded through the federal credit.
